Begins on January 26, 2025

“Suddenly one awakes to the notion of being a nation, and begins to walk, meeting others calling out ‘Shalom’.”

The change we seek depends on our willingness to change

“Walking toward together” is an opportunity to take responsibility and be proactive in creating a united and healthy society by walking together and sharing life

Through walking together, heartfelt conversations, overcoming challenges, and sleeping under the stars, we can reconnect to what is alive, healing, and unifying

At “Ways of Knowing”, we believe in the beneficial connection between humans and nature as a unique way to discover our strengths, the significance of togetherness, and to remember what is meaningful to us.

We aim to take our pain, fracture, despair, and grief and enrich the land through the footsteps of dozens and hundreds of people sharing life stories—sleeping under the stars, meeting kind eyes around the campfire, breathing fresh air, and extending a hand to one another—thereby creating a supportive and united human fabric that brings hope and vision.

Shared Ecology

If you feel the desire to create something new, we invite you to join as partners on this journey.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the journey, food, and necessary equipment. Additionally, we encourage everyone to bring their unique skills and resources to contribute—offering help, sharing knowledge, supporting those in need—and in return, receive support themselves.

This mutual support and partnership foster a sense of shared responsibility, where each individual has personal responsibility, alongside collective responsibility for what we create together.

In this way, the journey becomes a living movement of reciprocity and connection for the sake of life.

Who is the journey for? Everyone!

Adults, children, evacuees, the hurting, the weary, warriors, freedom seekers, peace seekers, human lovers, those looking to discover a new path…

The journey includes walking along the country’s trails and will pass through communities to connect with them and facilitate meaningful encounters. The journey requires physical and mental health and involves effort, but one can also join the evening campfire or simply support us during gatherings. You can join at any stage (check our location on the website) for the walk, stay with us overnight around the campfire, accompany us by vehicle to help transport equipment, or just meet good people who believe in the healing connection between humans and the land and are willing to move for the sake of life.

*Injured individuals can join with off-road vehicles.

Who are we?

The journey is a unique project of “Ways of Knowing,” professionally led by Dr. Lia Naor, who initiated the journey.

At “Ways of Knowing,” we strive to promote the connection between individuals, communities, and nature, creating spaces that allow for personal and collective growth, healing, and fulfillment. We aim to cultivate life-supporting systems based on cooperation and reciprocity, offering practical tools and experiences to strengthen the bond between individuals, society, and the environment.

Why a journey in nature?

“Because we are in a great fracture as a nation, and we need a broad response, one with vision, where all partners are proactive in creating change in a beneficial way that connects us, because that is our strength!

"I believe in the beneficial impact of nature, I believe in the connection formed through walking and being together in a space free of judgment and away from daily routines, and I believe there is another path to take today, and it’s time to discover it.” - Lia Naor.
